The Evolution of the Redbird™
Redbird Flight Simulations, Inc. was founded in Austin, Texas in 2006 by a team of computer industry veterans - both executives with money and the guys who really know how to build stuff - who possessed both a passion for aviation and deep experience in manufacturing, fabrication, and technology. The idea of Redbird began on a warm spring Texas evening as one of Redbird's founders prepared to take delivery of his new pride and joy, a popular model of turboprop twin. While regaling us all with the stories of his weeks of simulator training, a question arose at the table which immediately brought the conversation to a halt, "Doesn't it seem a little ridiculous that the full motion simulator used to train a pilot costs more than 10 times the cost of the airplane?" It was that simple question that lead to the birth of Redbird.
From the beginning, our mission was clear: to develop and market a full line of safe and reliable aviation training devices, utilizing the latest improvements in software and video graphics technology to deliver a "realistic" training environment that is well within the financial reach of virtually every flight school. From questioning the status quo, to idea, to mission, to reality. That's the "Evolution of the Redbird".
